~* THE FAIRY HOUSES *~

When I was young I was shown by a friend how to make Fairy houses.  She showed me to collect things in the garden like sticks and leaves and other natural things.  Seed pods, feathers even rocks.

We would create the fairy house on the side of a tree – a shelter for the tiny folk that live in the garden.

I remember it well and have taken this gift from her into my adult life.

I create Fairy houses.  My daughter and I go into the forests and make them.  We find what we can and use materials in the surrounding areas to create these magical shelters for our unseen friends.

They are magical and purely of the light.

The experience of creating a Fairy house is nothing short of Spiritual.  Certain items seem to call to become part of the structure.  As if the Fairies themselves are guiding the process, choosing what goes into their new homes.

They are temporary structures no doubt, but what is permanent anyway?

The choosing of the spot is important before you start your Fairy house. It should be somewhat hidden away and protected in some way from animals especially if you are making one in your own home garden and have a dog per se.

Collecting items for your Fairy house is important to do before you start to build so you have plenty of things to choose from before you begin.

I suggest a lot of sticks of varying sizes for the structure and then leaves and moss or things that are flat for the covering of the outside walls.  Rocks make good chairs and pathway stepping stones and feathers or seed pods make good railings for the entrance.

Finding a good tree to build against is always a good idea for a starting place.  Start by leaning the sticks against the tree wedging the bottom of the stick into the earth if possible – if it is soft enough.  Make two sides and leave an opening in the middle or the one end if possible.

Once the sticks have been placed against the tree securely then you can lay on the leaves and other flat items like bark strips if you have any.  This makes the house private and cozy.

You can then decorate the outside with some feathers or flowers too.

Make the floor of the Fairy house by placing some large flat leaves or moss if you have some.  Put the rocks on the leaves/moss and make a sitting place for them.  You can put moss on the tree if you have some rocks leaning up against the tree.  This makes a nice backrest for the Fairies when they are seated.

Sprinkle glitter [if you have] around when you are done.  If you don’t, some fine sand will do or dried earth.  You can also imagine you have some magic Fairy dust and pretend you are sprinkling it on the fairy House.

This “Fairy Dust” attracts the Fairies and makes the magic protection as well.  You can invoke the Fairy energy by making up a little rhyme or song after you’re done making your Fairy House inviting them to come and visit their new home.

Imagine Fairies coming to the house in the dusk, the night and the early morning.  Imagine them dancing and enjoying the house you built them!

They are grateful beings of Light and will appreciate your hard work :o)

Here are some photos on my Fairy Workshop page:

Enjoy building!!!

THE WALKING WOUNDED

Here’s to the walking wounded and you know who you are.  That’s everyone who’s ever been through hell and back and it doesn’t matter at what age you did it –you are all wounded warriors of the light.

Be you the father who’s slaved to provide for the family unit or the child who was neglected due to the father’s emotional absence.  Be you the victim of a crime perpetrated and never admitted by the abuser or the abusers guilt for committing that crime and never having the courage to face that person and admit the guilt and ask for forgiveness.

We are all walking wounded in one way or another; all of us seeking love and acceptance from one another and thus from God, for does not God reside in every one of us?

One school of thought comes from the energetic vibratory levels of Chiron.  The idea is that the wounded are warriors.  Healers learning to heal themselves and on the way help others as they evolve along their own path; picking up the stones so that others need not trip over them along the path that is already trodden upon.

There are, however, perspectives to take into account.  If we are all facets and mirrors of God, then as we walk our own individual paths, mustn’t we also acknowledge that one person’s lessons may not be learned in the exact same way as another?   So in that, sometimes, ‘helping’ is more like allowing.  One has to weigh these ideologies individually so that proper care is taken so as not to tip the apple cart.

It is up to each of us individually, in respect to the group dynamic, to still glean our insights alone as we also reflect back to the unity consciousness.  A newness may emerge that might not be found through manipulation.

In that newness – a rebirth can occur - one that has not been experienced by any facet of God before.  So, in the idea of this we thus feed the super dynamic and enlighten just in our ‘being’ alone.

One must then fail and fail again to be reminded that all is lessons and all is learning here on this plane.  For to fall and fail is to be vulnerable and open enough to embrace that which will eventually enlighten us and make us stronger in the idea that we really are not alone, but one with everything always.

Here is the key:  There is not good or bad.  There is no duality.  It is created in our minds, this idea, to challenge us to evolve and enlighten ourselves…   To indeed come closer to God… To our own inner HEART WISDOM.  For the Heart is much wiser than the head ~*~

Popular examples we have been given, such as Jesus Christ and the Buddha, show us what we can accomplish if we thwart the duality of the Ego mindset, relinquish manipulation and instead harness our innate God given power of positive intention.  Our Community Heart knows this and knows it WELL.

It is a balancing act.  The wounded warrior is the winner after all.  We are ALL wounded – in one way or another – imprinted by patterning passed down through generations – challenged to break certain cycles and renew in the light.

When we become aware that that which does not serve us and the greater good NEEDS to be discarded; like sloughing off a dead limb as a tree does,  so a way can be made for something that DOES bear life and WORKS in the PLAY.

I embrace each and every one of you who read this and attune to this vibratory message of LIGHT.

The War is Over.  It’s Safe to Come Home Now.  Peace is With-In and We are All Loved DIVINELY!

Persephone

As Persephone enters the underworld, we are reminded of our own innate transitory states of awareness.

We too must shed the cloaks of pretense and go deep within to seek out the root cause of our own individual and collective demons so we may rise anew when the light returns.

For the change to take place, much must be revealed and this can only happen when we are surrendered in trust that in the deepest depths of darkness and despair, the brightest light can emerge.

I think now of the state of the world financial affairs and how layered through history this mess really is.  It goes deeper than the lowest canyon and spans wider than the broadest valley because over time, this karma has built up and has laid a path for us to deal with now, present time.

We, the keepers of the earth are all responsible for our ancestors’ deeds and misdeeds.  There will be no more avoidance now, we must act and we must act in love and peace.  With this at the forefront we will surely triumph.  There is no room for resentment, pity or feelings of revenge.  We are really and truly all in this together.

Justice shall prevail, but at the same time we must have mercy on all of our brothers and sisters because they too agreed to be the sacrificial lamb in this karmic story.  We all play a part, be it driving a car, choosing to be an omnivore or whatever the subtle or not so subtle case may be.

It is key now to make time for meditation and concentrate when in this open space of awake dreaming, to become aware of our amazing powers of intention --- using our imagination, we can truly change the energy and the world.  The flow is requesting this of us now.  While we eat better, imbibe sacred foods of wisdom and healing, we can then send forth this magic energy into the great collective and feed the abandoned crying children within us all.

Just think of the drug addicts lining city streets --- all abandoned children --- self medicating for years and stuck in a system which no longer wants them nor has a permanent place for broken, mentally and spiritually challenged souls.  It is in this energetic field that we will find the answers we seek.  “My success is in helping You to succeed”.  Cleaning up the collective mess – focusing on where the love is needed is pertinent!  As a society and a ‘superpower’, we need to act and we need to act now.

The collective is crying for this healing.  We know what to do, we just have to focus and concentrate our energy in pure form toward such a goal.  We will and can achieve it…  It is all energy – we know this.

Love one another as Jesus said and forgive your neighbor, for they truly do not know what they do.  Most foul action is done in fear.  We know this too.  Fear of losing security, being alone, hungry, cold --- homeless.

There are so many who need help and a hug.

We have enough.
We have enough to share…
In this – I intend love… and finally forgiveness…

Thank you --- I LOVE YOU!

The Anti-Obama Problem in the USA

I usually do not write political pieces but due to the course of recent events I have witnessed in the broadband media, the flow of comments through friends on Facebook and the general atmosphere of political opinion I see, hear and feel in this country I sincerely feel this needs to be said.

I am shocked and amazed at the downright verbal aggression from some of my ‘hippy friends’ on Facebook who continue to slur and slander Barack Obama.  You’d think after 8 freakin' years of the worst political debacle in the history of the United States that at least the hippies would be ecstatic over having such an amazingly enlightened man, never mind a spiritually evolved black man, as our nations president.

Barack Obama has had to contend with the likes of the most insidious undermining right wing republican energy this country has ever known.  He has had to balance and juggle continuous and numerous challenges in his first year as our nations’ leader.

I was in Target the other day shopping for a present for my daughters friends’ birthday and we were shopping for cards.  I saw an anti-Obama card in the birthday section and just couldn’t believe the audacity.  GW was an amazingly stupid man.  I can see how this ‘humor’ has now gotten out of hand.

Target is obviously a tea-party supporter.  I saw this in the product display and I also saw the RED theme continuous throughout the store. A color originally meaning blood and power initiated by our Red Brothers and Sisters whose nation this was originally.  It is on their medicine shields and wheels and certainly signifies much more than capitalism and the drive for wealth trough any corrupt means necessary.  I saw very clearly after this last visit, that this would be my very last visit to Target as I see that they are definitely Right Wing supporters.

I willingly and openly say to my friends who knock Barack Obama due to the fact that they want to whitewash all political figureheads as corrupt and back the ideas of David Icke as gospel that they need to put down the bong, pick up the remote and turn of the TV.  Then they need to sit and think of how THEY would do this differently and please get up and do something proactive, whether its signing petitions online or anything that promotes positive earth conscious changes directed toward our positive movement of a cleaner more peaceful planet.  Sitting on your ass everyday getting stoned and bitching that Obama is just like Bush isn’t helping.  He is nothing like Bush and he never will be.

Barack Obama is an amazing person.  We are blessed and lucky to have him in the Captain’s Chair.  The amount of crap he has had to deal with has been astounding and the man is doing his darnedest to get this country on its feet again and in the positive energetic flow of LIGHT toward a Manifest Destiny we have been prophesized to walk into.

We all are in this together.  There is an Ascension Process going on.

Being born in South Africa, I have seen the oppression of the Black races first hand.  I knew even when I was a child that they held some incredibly deep and powerful medicine in their beings.  Being painted as thieves and robbers was what the White people in power needed to keep recreating the vicious cycle of condemnation and oppression to keep their spiritual magnitude from rising above the mess.  The simmering anger in the population was mediated with guns and murder.  It was a sick place and I did not realize the magnitude of the situation until I was much older and living here in the USA.

Now, as an American Citizen and a Californian who has traveled to the East Coast and places like Florida to witness the ignorance and small mindedness of some of the people who call themselves Americans, I can honestly say that this country needs a spiritual enema.  As a Nation we are children spiritually speaking.  We have not evolved past a consciousness of the Savior.  This consciousness makes us the spiritual child… the forever victim who needs saving.

It is time we evolve and step into the adult shoes that have been waiting for us for too long now.  There is work to be done.  Be it changing our mindset to one of a more positive note or even beginning more authentic grassroots movements toward the cleansing and clearing of this nations hand in the continuous pollution of the Earth and non-awareness of the effect we have had on the destruction of eco-systems and wildlife.

I say now that if you’re bitching about what Obama is doing or hasn’t done yet, then look in the mirror and see how YOU can help him achieve the goal that we are ALL set out to achieve and that is not to be the savior of everyone or the world, but instead to be a forward movement for peace and equilibrium of our worlds delicate balance of life.

This all begins with LOVE and acceptance of what is.  No more denial of how things are.  Instead we have to become brutally honest and get with the positive flow in our own separate intention patterns that we can set as individuals in our everyday existence.  Don’t be deluded into thinking that you don’t matter.  You wouldn’t be here if you didn’t.   We ALL matter… for we are all matter.

Many wise men and women of our time and time before us have said things which reiterate what I am saying here today.  Sitting on your ass pointing fingers at people who are going gray trying to help and heal the broken systems isn’t doing anyone any good.

Gandhi – “we have to be the change we want to see in the world”

JFK – “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what YOU can do for your country”

Scoop Miester – “If you don’t like the news, go out and make some of your own!”

So, there you have it.  Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it…  We need more wise and enlightened people getting their hands dirty now more than ever.  I think the weed can wait… it’s not going anywhere.  Let others who have been working so hard get a break and let’s get this ball rolling.

Obama is doing a GREAT JOB.  He is an amazing man and we are blessed and lucky to have him as our nations’ leader.  He is a Gift to us from Creator… He holds the blueprints of our new world… He is to be honored and respected and he is not Bush.  He is the anti-Bush :o)  But, be not presumptuous… he needs our help.  All of us… We as a nation need to combine our energies toward one goal – UNIFICATION and LOVE.  The ‘them’ and the “spiritual children” need gentle guidance.  After all, a flower cannot be opened with a hammer.

Many of us have been waiting patiently [and some not so patiently :o)] for all to arise to the challenge.  It is easy to lay back and point the finger, but after all isn’t it YOU who needs to change too?

In light and honesty… Goddess Bless and Namaste ~*

The Tortoise and the Hare

I was hiking in an open space preserve with my daughter and I had another epiphany.

She was running ahead, as she is almost 5 and full of energy.  I was walking – plodding along.  She kept running off and then stopping because she was tired and had to rest.  I was in a nice pace and as I approached her, I just kept walking because I knew that, pretty soon, she would get up and run again.   She did.  She did this over and over.  She had a great workout and so did I.

At one point she asked me to run with her.  I told her that she is a runner and I am a walker.  My body, at almost 42, doesn’t want to run as much as walk or swim.  I can swim very fast, but when it comes to gravity based sports, am not the win.  She is.

Going fast is a rush.  People seek this adrenalin high the world over.  I have heard that one can hit Nirvana.  I have done this in my youth and I remember feeling absolutely beautiful at times.  I know this feeling and I understand the craving for it.  As a runner, one can hit a pocket where time stands still and the ‘zone’ is reached… a runner’s high they call it.

In our society, we are rewarded for winning.  Whoever is the fastest, most beautiful, has the most money, most toys seem to be revered and regarded as royalty.  The technological breakthroughs of our lifetimes are all geared towards speed; doing things faster with ease and rampant with shortcuts.  However, there is one piece missing.  We seem to be getting farther away from closeness with others and in that we are further from ourselves.

Walking definitely has its own grace.  To be able to be in peace while walking is its own gift.  I can see things that other people running or riding a bike miss.   Talking with another person is easier while walking; where chatting while running is almost impossible. The human and earth connection gets sparse the faster we go.

I found a very important spiritual awareness came about me when I looked at what Thea, my daughter, was showing me by running ahead and then having to stop when she was tired.

The classic old tale of The Tortoise and the Hare came to mind.  Later when I was reflecting upon the day, I saw the metaphor it held for our Hearts and the Minds.

The Hare = the Mind and the Tortoise = the Heart.

When we let our minds lead and run rampant, we get into trouble and expend too much for too little distance.  We have to stop and rest or we get hurt from pushing ourselves when we are exhausted.

Slowing down enough to stay in a natural walking rhythm aligns our body, mind and spirit with the natural rhythm of our heartbeats.  The footsteps we take as we walk are in fact markers on our Earth-walk.

The environment is more alive when we walk.  We can be mindful and attentive to the subtle nuances in our vision.  Runners miss this and so do bikers.  They miss the moments… the synchronicity of the clouds as they align with a birds wings and the song of that same bird as it lifts upon the wind.  Our hearts like to look at the scenery and absorb the surrounding.   Our minds are trying to run away.  In slowing down we assimilate so much more ---

With the Hare-Mind going so fast; all we can hear is ourselves; our thinking.  This idea is illustrated by racing thoughts, as the mind tries to figure out WHY, WHEN, WHAT, WHO, HOW… data, data, data.

As the Tortoise; we can begin walk in unity with all that is around us and thusly be closer to the Great Spirit.  With soft feet we can feel the Earth beneath us carrying is, supporting our footsteps.  Every step we take is sacred…

There is something to be said for running.  I have heard it does clear the mind, but like a drug, it is temporary…

In walking and becoming mindful of our surroundings and our footsteps on the good earth, we can arrive in a central harmonic and even meditative heart-over-mind space and be at one with the Universe in a peaceful, tranquil and serene way.

It is harmonious…  It is non-combative.  It is the steps which honor the Home in which we Live and Love.

The Tortoise knows because Heart Wisdom is greater than Head.  The Head is the follower… the Heart leads.  Head is where Ego Lives and Heart is where Spirit Loves.

The Tortoise Loves --- The Hare Lives.  The Hare ‘thinks’ it knows… it has convinced itself that what it’s doing is ‘good’  - even better than the Tortoise.  It laughs at the Tortoise and speeds by.   The Tortoise sits in its humility and sometimes feels humiliated… but… In the long run…

…or should I say long walk…?

--- The Tortoise Wins ~*

Slow and steady wins the race…

So, set your pace with ease and Grace…

The Balloon Test

Life is like a balloon.

I have an almost five year old daughter and she loves balloons.  She can have so much fun with a balloon.  She’ll bop it around for as long as she can!

It’s a good toy for inside as it doesn’t break anything and can be retrieved easily by kids of all ages, even grandparents.

There is an art, however, to the inflating of them.  A well inflated balloon will float; while an under inflated balloon will sink like a submarine.

Balloons are like life in that you get out what you put in.  If you have fear that the balloon will pop and you stop short of fully filling the balloon with enough exhaled air, you get the submarine.  However, if you gage the inflation with sensibility, then you get a nicely inflated balloon which will float and bring joy to everyone.

It’s amazing how much joy one balloon can give!  We really are all like balloons in that if we are not filled with enough joy or life, then we falter in bringing our essential gifts forth to the world.  Inflating ourselves with enough of the good things and trusting that we can push our own spiritual balloons toward greater fullness gives us the gift of sharing our love and joy with others.

If, however,  in fear, we lack the courage to fill our spiritual balloons with enough air, which is in effect ‘prana’ ~ the Breath of Life ~ then, we will never know our own innate capacity to feel that fullness of Spirit and we will never know the *Magic* of that Joy and Love when we share it with others.

One thing I can say to amateur balloon inflaters is that you have to learn to trust that when the balloon gets to a certain size, you will know when it is at its threshold.  The balloon will tell you!   “If you blow me up anymore… one more breath… I WILL POP!”

That is exactly when you tie it off… and let loose!

Kids laugh, scream and shriek at the sheer joy of a balloon bopping around.  I don’t know if it is the color, how it moves, or the personality of a balloon that makes kids so happy, [maybe all of the above] but I do know one thing for sure – it sure creates a lot of joy and that is what matters most.

So, inflate your balloons to their fullest extent… Don’t be scared that they will pop… if they do… say “OH!” laugh and try again!  It’s only a piece of plastic made out of a rubber tree and it’s worth the pennies it costs to buy one.

Have fun boppin’!
